This EIZO-developed software comes bundled with ColorEdge CE models and offers 10-bit hardware calibration when used with a GretagMacbeth, X-Rite, or ColorVision measurement device.
The wide screen format with its 16:10 aspect ratio offers more horizontal viewing space than conventional monitors. Two applications such as a text document and web browser can be viewed side-by-side, or graphics applications can be opened and work palettes displayed simultaneously without any overlap.
To ensure that each ColorEdge CE monitor produces the most accurate and consistent color gradations possible, EIZO carefully measures and sets every shade of R, G, and B from 0 - 255 on the production line with the monitor's 10-bit Look-Up Table (LUT), to produce a monitor gamma value of 2.2. Should the user prefer a different value, the LUT can be used to calculate for values ranging from 1.8 (the standard for the printing industry) up to 2.6.
EIZO's powerful new ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) provides 14-bit color processing capability for smooth, accurate grayscale and color rendering even in darker tones, which are typically difficult for LCD monitors to reproduce accurately.
To enhance moving image playback capabilities, an overdrive circuit is included. Used with many LCD TVs, an overdrive circuit vastly improves the LCD panel’s response time for changing between midtones or gray levels, which is necessary to display color images without blurring.
This outstanding contrast performance makes images on dark backgrounds appear more vivid and ensures that colors retain their richness even in brightly lit rooms.
Extensive color control allows the precise adjustment of even a single color in an image. You can independently adjust hue and saturation for each primary (red, green, blue) and secondary (cyan, magenta, yellow) color.
Fine Contrast lets you "fine-tune" the image for the type of application being used. It includes three modes: sRGB, Custom (user-defined settings), and CAL (for ColorNavigator CE calibration software) which can be selected via a handy button on the front bezel.
This EIZO-developed stand provides an arc-shaped range of movement so the screen can be positioned up high near eye level or lowered at an angle akin to reading a book for a more natural viewing posture.
This one upstream, two downstream hub facilitates high speed (480 MB/s) connections with other USB peripherals.
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper display of color - with EIZO patented technology*. A drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects and automatically compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage of time.
*Japan Patent Numbers 3171808 and 3193315; US Patent Number 6188380.
Panel can be removed from its stand and can be mounted on VESA-compliant arms or stands.
The product name, serial number, and total usage time can all be confirmed in the on-screen display menu.
A five-year warranty offers a long service life, and compliance with leading industry standards such as TCO’03 (white cabinet only) and TÜV Ergonomics ensures a better working environment. The EIZO Eco Products 2004 label indicates these products meet strict internal requirements for design, manufacturing, packaging, and usage, including the introduction of lead-free solder and chrome-free steel plates.
